The Filzmooshörndl, at 2,189 meters, is a scenic peak in the Ellmautal and a rewarding destination for hikers and ski tourers.

The Filzmooshörndl, located at 2,189 meters in the Ellmautal, is a beautiful destination for anyone seeking peace, nature, and sweeping views. The hike starts at the Grundlehen parking lot and leads along a rustic alpine trail to the Filzmoosalm. It continues across wide alpine meadows up to the summit, where you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Grossarltal.

In winter, the Filzmooshörndl is a popular intermediate-level ski tour through the Ellmautal. The tour offers beautiful panoramic views and, under suitable conditions, is suitable for both beginners and experienced ski tourers.
