Aussichtspunkt mit tollem Blick, Platz zum Picknicken im Sommer und Schlittenfahren im Winter.

Vom Eichelberg zwischen Marching und Irnsing hat man einen tollen Blick auf die umliegenden Stadtteile. Bei klarer Sicht kann sogar die Befreiungshalle gesehen werden. Ein Fernglas einzupacken lohnt sich also. Im Sommer ist der Berg ein schöner Picknickplatz. Im Herbst sorgt der Wind für optimale Bedingungen zum Drachensteigenlassen. Im Winter kann man auf der Nordseite bei ausreichend Schnee Schlittenfahren.

Der Eichelberg ist mit rund 400 Metern der höchste Punkt im Stadtgebiet Neustadt an der Donau. Es führen verschiedene Wege hinauf. Diese sind nicht befestigt, nicht ausgeschildert und nicht barrierefrei. Ein Kinderwagen ist nicht empfehlenswert.
