Zur Berggruppe der Benediktenwand gehören auch die Achselköpfe und das Brauneck (1555 m). Der normale Anstieg zur Benediktenwand führt von Benediktbeuern über die Tutzinger Hütte zum Gipfel. Auch von der Jachenau aus über die Glaswandscharte oder über die Bichler Alm und den Altweibersteig und vom Isarwinkel führen Anstiege auf den Gipfel. Weitere Wege führen durch das Längental über die Probstalm (1376 m; nicht öffentlich zugängliche Alpenvereinshütte) sowie vom über eine Seilbahn erschlossenen Brauneck zur Benediktenwand.
