Startpunkt in die Berge

Der slowenische Ort Kranjska Gora ist vor allem für seine nahe gelegene Skiflugschanze in Planica bekannt. Alle ambitionierten Radfahrer bringen den Bergort wahrscheinlich eher mit dem Vrsic-Pass als höchsten slowensichen Bergpass in Verbindung.

Die Umgebung von Kranjska Gora ist jedenfalls von sehr beeindruckender Naturlandschaft umgeben. Mit dem Fahrrad empfiehlt sich die Benützung des Radweges entlang der ehemaligen Bahnlinie zwischen Jesenice und Tarvis.
