Die Blumen-Sonnenuhr steht auf dem Kurplatz des landschaftlich reizvoll gelegenen Kurortes Hartha am Tharandter Wald.

Wer sich die Zeit nimmt, den Sekundenweg zu erkunden, stößt auf zwei besondere Zeitmesser: die Blumen-Sonnenuhr und das Sonnenkarussell. Die Blumen-Sonnenuhr wurde von dem Uhrenfachmann Johannes Hennig entworfen und bereichert seit 1988 den Kurplatz. Diese wunderschöne Sonnenuhr ist aber nicht nur ein optischer Hingucker. Bei Sonnenschein lässt sich anhand des Schattenwurfs auf dem Blumenbeet die Sonnenuhrzeit, auch wahre Ortszeit genannt, für den Kurort Hartha ermitteln.
