Its source, the Pfrimm Spring, is located at about 299 m above sea level in the north of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park, approximately 3 km southeast of the local community of Sippersfeld in the nature reserve Sippersfelder Weiher, which spreads out with several ponds in the Hinterwald. It was framed with basalt stones in 1927, and a small resting place was established there a few years ago. After only 300 m, the Pfrimm is dammed to form the Pfrimm Pond, a pool that is fed by another inflow. Several ponds follow, named Steiger-, Krebs-, and Mühlenweiher. The Pfrimm flows 42 km eastward and empties into the Rhine at Worms, which is not evident from the little stream itself.
