Der Negenborn ist eine stark schüttende Quelle in mystischer Umgebung. Durch das Lobgedicht „An die Nymphe des Negenborn“ von dem großen Dichter der Sturm-und Drangzeit Gottfried- August-Bürger ist sie in die Literatur eingegangen.

Der Name deutet auf „neun (negen - gesprochen auf Plattdeutsch - nechen) Quellen“ hin, von denen noch einige links von der Hauptquelle aktiv sind. Sie schüttet 15-20.000 Liter pro Stunde und speist einen sprudelnden Quellbach bis zur Mündung in die Garte. Der Rastplatz wirkt sehr einladend und empfiehlt sich besonders an heißen Tagen als kühles Plätzchen.
