Dampferanlegestelle der Sächischen Dampfschifffahrt in Pillnitz
Das Schloss und der Park in Pillnitz laden zum Lustwandeln ein. Wasser- und Bergpalais wurden im Auftrag von August des Starken angelegt. Gebäude und Parkanlagen waren bis 1918 die Sommerresidenz des sächsischen Hofes. Die Gondel, mit der Angehörige des Hofes auf der Elbe zu Festen fuhren, sowie der mit rund 230 Jahren älteste Kamelienbaum Europas sind noch heute im Park zu entdecken. Kurz hinter Pillnitz – in Söbrigen – endet das Dresdner Elbtal und der Wasserweg führt einen in Richtung Sächsische Schweiz.
Tipp: Vom Anleger aus kann man in kurzer Zeit das Schloss mit Parkanlage, Kamelienhaus, drei Palais und zwei Museen erreichen.
