in the Filseck Castle Landscape Park - rest area with carved wooden figures such as Bruno, Mecki or Max and Moritz. A place to remember and linger.
The square is named after Werner Litz († 2018), who, as the long-standing honorary managing director of the Förderkreis Schloss Filseck, provided decisive impetus for the development of the castle and its park. Even during his time as mayor of Sparwiesen, he worked hard to preserve and revitalize the castle grounds.
When Filseck Castle was taken over by the Kreissparkasse Göppingen Foundation in 2008, the support group became even more important. Werner Litz was instrumental in shaping and influencing this process.
The Werner Litz Square commemorates his work and at the same time offers an inviting place for walkers, families and visitors to the park - a place to linger and express gratitude.
