Former marketplace in the city center. Very quiet and low traffic.
The Schillerplatz was formerly known as the New Marketplace. It got its name on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the death of Friedrich Schiller on May 9, 1905. At the stairway, there is a mosaic by the Grünstadt artist Karl Unverzagt. It depicts the development of the Leininger coat of arms.
