Rest area at the Kleine Kalmit
The rest area Under the Linden Trees is located on the Kleine Kalmit, just below the Mater-Dolorosa Chapel. In the shade of the old trees, one can enjoy the view of the Palatinate Forest. Seating arrangements invite you to rest, pause, and have a picnic.
Picnic in Nature
Whether on a hike or a cycling tour: A picnic in the open air is a special experience – especially with regional specialties from the Palatinate! To keep nature as unspoiled as possible, please only use designated rest areas. In forests and vineyards, there are often no trash bins to avoid attracting wildlife and to keep the landscape clean.
Therefore, the rule is: Everything you bring should also be taken back with you. Food scraps and packaging can be dangerous for animals and can take decades to decompose. Dispose of your trash responsibly and help protect the unique nature of the Palatinate!
