At the rest area at Plätzel in the old town of Kandel, four benches around the linden tree invite visitors to linger. The rest area is located below St. George's Church, and a view of/in the church is worthwhile.
It is not far from the vegetable and herb bike path or the farm-to-farm tour, and one could also take a break there while on a city walk and enjoy the view of the half-timbered houses/St. George's Church.
