Our tips for picnicking:
Please pack your trash back up after the picnic, because we want to preserve the beautiful nature for everyone! Please note that grilling and campfires are not allowed at the picnic sites.
We wish you lots of fun picnicking at the Southern Wine Road!
Information on accessibility
- A general parking lot is available 20 m away.
- The path to the picnic area leads partly over uneven terrain (gravel)
- There is a picnic table * The picnic table is on gravel
- There is accessibility underneath one table. The maximum height of the table is 82 cm, and the accessibility is possible at a height of 74 cm and a depth of 20 cm
- The nearest accessible toilet is located in Annweiler am Trifels (Professor-Nägle-Platz, 76855 Annweiler am Trifels)
Tip for wheelchair users
The picnic tables are accessible without steps and without steep inclines. However, please note that they are located in the woods, so the ground can be a bit uneven in some places. Depending on the type of your wheelchair, I recommend - safety first - not to visit the picnic area alone, just in case your wheelchair gets stuck. Also, picnicking with good company is much nicer anyway! :) (Vanessa Giloy)
