At the Ritterspielplatz, kids of today can try out games played by children 800 years ago, such as jousting "on horseback" or storming castles, and much more.
The Ritterspielplatz, also known as the Castle Playground, is a unique playground designed to replicate a typical 13th-century castle from the Allgäu region, albeit in a slightly scaled-down size. It features a palisade and moat-enclosed outer bailey and a tower castle situated on a motte-like hill. While not historically precise in every detail, the playground offers children a good impression of a typical castle structure found in the area.

Handcrafted unique features: Within the outer bailey courtyard, there are handcrafted play structures like the jousting course, where children can pedal-operate horse replicas to hit two rotating shields (Rolande) with accuracy. Additionally, there are sack race tracks, box jumping paths, climbing, balancing, and swing elements, as well as a sandbox area.

Richly illustrated information panels: Several informational panels provide details about Allgäu castles, ongoing castle research, and medieval childhood activities focusing on noble children's games and different educational paths. There's also an overview panel highlighting the "Castle Region Allgäu-Außerfern".
