There are information boards at the parking lot with an overview map and the route of the Heroes' Tour. From here, the trail first leads out of the village area into the typical landscape of the Swabian Alb. The varied tour combines wooded sections with open plateaus, striking cliffs and impressive views of the surrounding countryside.
Thanks to its location on the outskirts of the village, the parking lot is easy to find and can be easily reached from both Donzdorf and Heidenheim. Behind the rows of trees are residential houses, while the hiking route leads directly from the parking lot towards the Alb plateau.
The location is ideal for day trips, sporty hikes or as a starting point for other tours around Lauterstein. Anyone planning the Heroes' Tour will find a well-signposted and centrally located starting point with direct access to the region's network of hiking trails.
