Als Teil des Gartenparks Wassenberg entdeckt man in diesem Kleinod unerwartete Baumriesen und heimische Besonderheiten.
Küsters Garten liegt in der Nähe des Gondelweihers innerhalb der alten Stadtmauern und neben der St. Georgskirche. Benannt wurde er nach einer Arztfamilie, die hier botanische Raritäten anpflanzte. Im II. Weltkrieg weitgehend zerstört, blieben ein Mammut- und ein Gingkobaum erhalten. Im Garten befindet sich, neben weiteren Baumarten, auch ein Pfirsichbaum von der Sorte „Wassenberger Sämling“, die bis ins 20. Jahrhundert in Wassenberg in fast allen Gärten sowie in Pfirsichplantagen zu finden war.
Küsters Garten ist Teil des Wassenberger Gartenparks, einem zentralen Grüngürtel, der den Burgberg mit dem Gondelweiher, dem Rosengarten und dem Judenbruch verbindet. Wassenberg ist mit dieser Parklandschaft Partner im Europäischen Gartennetzwerk EGHN.
