Dahlen Castle Park

Count von Bünau had the castle park laid out in 1808 together with a castle road in the English style. Towards the end of the 19th century, the park was redesigned into a landscape park, incorporating the existing Dahleaue. In spring in particular, the park is a blaze of color with thousands of blooming anemones. One of Saxony's oldest tulip trees can be found in the park to the east of the former castle (now preserved as a ruin). Special features include the views of the Dahle floodplain, the town hall, the castle terraces and the half-moon pond. There are some old English oaks with trunk diameters of 80-120 cm, lime trees and chestnut trees.
