Pfänderbachtal, the "primeval forest of tomorrow".

The natural Pfänderbach stream gave the valley its name. The popular hut of the Einöd ski and hiking club is located at the entrance to the Pfänderbach valley. Three hiking tours of 5, 10 and 13 km start from the hut car park. The 5 km hike leads mainly through the Pfänderbachtal valley with its beautiful coloured sandstone rocks with various rare mosses and lichens.

The Pfänderbach valley is a core zone of the Bliesgau biosphere reserve and therefore a zone without forestry utilisation.
