The Wurm Valley is a beautiful nature reserve near Kerkrade, extending across the border between the Netherlands and Germany. The forests and grasslands of the Wurm Valley are situated along the Wurm, a fast-flowing river that runs along the border. Kingfishers can often be spotted there, as can beavers. In the Wurm Valley you can also find the historic Baalsbruggermolen, a 900 year old watermill that used to belong to Rolduc Abbey.
