More than a real "mountain", it is a hilly relief of a limestone-marlish nature, with overhanging rocky walls along the eastern side. Its flora, made up of about 500 species, is very interesting.
Mount Brione (the maximum height of 376 m above sea level) stands isolated in the middle of the Sarca floodplain, right next to the great Lake Garda, and separates the two towns of Riva del Garda and Torbole. More than a real "mountain", it is a relief of limestone-marlose nature the size of a hill, but the overhanging rocky walls of its eastern side give it the harsh physiognomy typical of the mountain. Due to its shape, it has been compared to a huge orange wedge resting on a floor. Its flora is very interesting, with an incredibly high number of species (it could be 500, according to some botanists), all present in a relatively small territory.
