Die bekannte Wallfahrtskirche in St. Felix - U.l.Fr. im Walde hat mit dem Biotop Widummoos die Natur zum Nachbarn.

Das Biotop Widummoos ist mit seiner knapp 2,3 ha großen Fläche der Rest eines größeren Hochmoores. Als einziges bedeutendes Moorgebiet der Region kommt dem Biotop Widummoos eine besondere landschaftliche Bedeutung zu. Die relativ kleine Fläche beinhaltet eine große Zahl an Lebensräume. So kann zwischen einem periodisch überfluteten Verlandungsmoor, einem Quellmoor, einer beginnenden Hochmoorentwicklung und in den Randbereichen eine Streuwiese unterschieden werden. Entsprechend vielfältig ist auch der Bewuchs, mehrere Orchideenarten gedeihen hier, auch Sumpfdotterblumen, Enziane, das fleischfressende Fettkraut und vieles mehr.
