Heimatmuseum der Stadt Sindelfingen

Das alte Rathaus von 1470 beherbergt seit 1958 das Stadtmuseum in seinen Räumlichkeiten. Gemeinsam mit dem sog. Salzhaus aus dem Jahr 1592 bilden die beiden Häuser ein Ensemble, in dem das historische und kulturelle Erbe der Stadt in einer Dauerausstellung seit 1977 präsentiert wird. Auf einer Fläche von ca. 500 qm umspannen die Themen die Vor- und Frühgeschichte der Stadt bis ins 21. Jahrhundert. Das Stadtmodell bietet einen Blick in die mittelalterliche Stadt hinein.Die anlässlich des Stadtjubiläums 2013 eingerichtete Sonderausstellung „Facetten einer Stadt“ ist auch weiterhin zu sehen. Sie widmet sich in sechs Kapiteln verschiedenen Themen der 750-jährigen Stadtgeschichte.
