Der Abbau des Bentheimer Sandsteins prägte über Jahrhunderte den Ort und die hier lebenden Bürger. Im Sandsteinmuseum können Sie viele Exponate aus Bentheimer Sandstein entdecken. Sie erfahren aber auch einiges über die Geologie Bad Bentheims und das Leben der Menschen, die den Sandstein hier aus den Felsen gebrochen haben. Wechselnde Wanderausstellungen von Künstlern oder Fotoausstellungen machen das Sandsteinmuseum zu einen besonderen Museum der Stadt Bad Bentheim.
