This tower is part of medieval fortification wall, originally was buid in 1330. In 20th century it became part of Latvian War Museum and serves as it to this day.

This tower is part of medieval fortification wall, originally was buid in 1330. After several reconstructions the tower got its form and name in 17th, due to gunpowder stored there. In 20th century it became part of Latvian War Museum and serves as it to this day.
