hat sein Domizil in einem geräumigen Vierseitgehöft, welches 1752 als königlich-preußisches Forsthaus errichtet wurde. Das Gehöft diente über 220 Jahre lang als Forsthaus.
Von weitem sichtbar thront die Burganlage am Petersberg mit der kleinen Burgkirche St. Peter über der Stadt, denn schon im Mittelalter galt die Devise: „Sehen und gesehen werden“. Als Bauherrn fungierten die Fürsterzbischöfe von Salzburg. In einer zeitgenössischen Chronik wird die Burganlage am Petersberg mit dem „Schloss eines Kaisers“ verglichen. Der mächtige Kapellenturm ist über 28 Meter hoch und beherbergt heute das Stadtmuseum mit der privaten Kapelle der Fürsterzbischöfe. Im sogenannten Oberhof befindet sich die Spielstätte der Friesacher Burghofspiele. Eine einzigartige Kulisse umschließt die Bühne und herausragende Laienschauspieler begeistern alljährlich im Sommer die Besucher mit Komödien und Stücken der Weltliteratur.
Im Jahre 1847 schrieb Lorenz Hohenauer in sein Buch über „Die Stadt Friesach“: „Wer nach Friesach kommt, und auch nur über die Zeit von einer Stunde zu verfügen hat, der unterlasse es ja nicht, wenigstens den Petersberg zu besuchen.
