Its exhibitions trace the region’s development from Neolithic communities through Roman and medieval periods to the revival of the Serbian state during the 19th and 20th centuries. Among the museum’s notable exhibits are Bronze Age jewellery, medieval weapons and ceramics, a replica of Prince Lazar’s ceremonial tunic, and personal belongings connected with Stanislav Binički, the celebrated composer born in Kruševac. Through its collections and educational programmes, the museum offers visitors a comprehensive insight into the cultural and political history of central Serbia.
