The museum brings the history of Neuleiningen to life. Visitors to the museum immerse themselves in the eventful history of the medieval town.
Collection focuses:
- The Counts of Leiningen
- The construction and development of the castle
- The place in the Middle Ages
- Neuleiningen and the Diocese of Worms
- Historical personalities: Count Hesso, Countess Eva, Bishop Reinhard of Rüppurr
Responsible for the museum is the Neuleiningen Heritage and Cultural Association and the Historical Neuleiningen Foundation. Currently closed due to COVID restrictions!
From April to October, open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, and additionally on May 1, June 1 (Whit Monday), July 25 (Castle Wine Festival), October 3, International Museum Day, and Heritage Open Day, both museums are open from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
