Múzeum slovenskej dediny je najväčšou národopisnou expozíciou v prírode na Slovensku.

Na južnom okraji mesta v Jahodníckych hájoch, v bezprostrednej blízkosti sídliska Ľadoveň sa rozprestiera Múzeum slovenskej dediny. Je najväčšou národopisnou expozíciou v prírode na Slovensku. Priestor s rozlohou 15,5 ha je posiaty 143 objektmi obytného, hospodárskeho, technického, spoločenského a sakrálneho charakteru. Z toho 22 objektov môžu návštevníci obdivovať aj zvnútra. Podáva obraz tradičného ľudového staviteľstva a života dedinčanov, aktuálne z oblastí severozápadného Slovenska, v období prelomu 19. a 20. storočia.

Pôvodným zámerom Slovenského národného múzea v Martine bolo vybudovať expozíciu zahŕňajúcu celé Slovensko. V súčasnosti sú tu zastúpené regióny Oravy, Liptova, Kysúc–Podjavorníkov a Turiec.
