Experience, explore and discover projections about the world of our ancestors in this talking museum.

In the Hochwald Museum Hermeskeil, which was redesigned in 2003, you can experience the life and work of your ancestors. A museum of a special kind has been created here: informative, entertaining, varied and aesthetically designed. The exhibits on display provide insights into the history of the Hochwald, but the Hochwald Museum is not a local history museum in the usual sense: the diverse, often changing projection of the world of our ancestors opens a window into the history of the entire Hochwald - mosaic-like, of course. You experience the past time through real productions, fictitious conversation situations, information banners and by deepening interesting topics in picture and sound. In 2005, the Hochwald Museum was awarded the first museum prize of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate for its exemplary presentation of the history of the Hochwald.
