The House of Austrian History is the first museum of contemporary history in the Republic. With its opening exhibition "Departure into the unknown - Austria since 1918", the new museum in the Hofburg invites visitors to engage with Austria's ambivalent history and poses questions that have affected Austria and Europe then and now.
