Bezirksmuseum Döbling showcases the 19th district’s history, local industry, transport, and winemaking in the historic Nonnenstöckl and Villa Wertheimstein.

Set across the former Dominican farmyard known as the Nonnenstöckl and the adjoining Villa Wertheimstein, the Bezirksmuseum Döbling offers a glimpse into the district’s past. Exhibits cover early settlements, historic villages, local industries, and transportation, including models of the Zahnradbahn and Leopoldsberg cable railway. The Villa Wertheimstein preserves period interiors, a salon frequented by prominent cultural figures, and rooms dedicated to the writers Eduard von Bauernfeld and Ferdinand von Saar, with original furniture and artworks. The Wine Museum in the medieval cellar showcases the region’s viticulture, featuring tools, presses, and historic cellars that trace the long history of winemaking in Döbling.
