Beerewei(n)museum
The Beerewei(n)museum - a small but exquisite museum dedicated to a local old fruit variety, the Frankelbacher Orsborner Mostbirne, and the Beerewei(n) produced from it. You can also taste it in the museum.
Berry Wine Museum
A major highlight in the West Palatinate is the traditional production of berry wine from the "Frankelbacher Orsborner pear." This pear variety is unique to this region, originating from an ancient tree from pagan times.
The centerpiece of the Berry Wine Museum is an original fruit press made of sandstone, complemented by other equipment needed for the production of berry wine. Through drawings, maps, photos of fruit mills, and copper and steel engravings, one can trace the history of berry wine and the preparation of fruit wine.
And if you're lucky, you might also encounter the "Berry Wine Queen," who is crowned every two years at the Bergfest on Eulenkopf.
Entry: 1.00 Euro; with berry wine tasting 1.50 Euro
