Der inneritalienische Sella Carnizza (1086m) befindet sich zwischen dem Uccea Sattel (Vorpass zwischen Slowenien und Italien) und Resiutta im Resia Tal. Auf der Nordseite Richtung Resiuatta weißt der Pass Maximalsteigungen von 22% auf. Bei der Abfahrt ist hier Vorsicht geboten. Die südseitige Anfahrt ist mit rund 11% Durchschnittssteigung wesentlich angenehmer.
Die Straße selbst ist sehr wenig befahren und führt durch nahezu unberührte Natur. Am Sattel befinden sich einige regionaltypisch bewirtschaftete Almen, die mit ausgezeichneten Stärkungen aufwarten.
