Ke středu Evropy se hlásí řada míst, v Havlíčkově Brodě najdeme rovnou dva, oba z ideové dílny fiktivního génia Járy Cimrmana.

(foto1) Jeden z nich je přenosný, je umístěn v budově radnice (městského úřadu) a je dílem výtvarníka Jana Exnara. Druhý střed Evropy se nachází ve veřejně přístupné zahradě Kavárny U Notáře (foto 2), Sázavská ul. 430. Tento objekt ve tvaru trychtýře je vyroben z lakované oceli, průměr má 2,6 m a výšku 3,5 m. Sbírá dešťové kapky, jejichž energie se vlévá do „Středu Evropy“. Trychtýř pochází z dílny uměleckých kovářů Martina Štellera a Jana Schwarze.
