The actual powder house of the mine is situated on an old waste heap, 150 m south-west of the other surface buildings, and was built in 1844.

The actual powder house of the mine is situated on an old waste heap, 150 m south-west of the other surface buildings, and was built in 1844. It has a diameter of 7 m with an eaves height of about 2 m. The powder house, constructed with solid quarry stone walls, features a restored strong iron door with iron bands attached.
