Beautiful vaulted rooms, permanent museum space.
The tower boasts beautiful vaulted rooms, as well as a permanent museum space entitled "Mémoires de tour".
The exhibition covers the following themes: The figure of King Philippe le Bel; Avignon's territory around the Rhône, from the Carolingian era to the French Revolution; Bridge building in medieval times; 3D view of the Pont d'Avignon in its landscape, at different times.
These four major themes are translated into a bilingual French-English tour.
Opening times
From 01/02 to 31/03 on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends between 2 pm and 5 pm. On Wednesday between 10 am and 12 pm and between 2 pm and 5 pm.From 01/04 to 31/10 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends between 10 am and 12.30 pm and between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on May 1st and July 14th.
