The House of the German Wine Route (with a large lakeside terrace, bridge restaurant and observation tower), built in 1995, marks the start of the German Wine Route and is considered the gateway to the Palatinate, acting as the entry point from Rheinhessen to the Palatinate.
The Haus der Deutschen Weinstraße ("House of the German Wine Route"), built in 1995, marks the start of the German Wine Route and is considered the gateway to the Palatinate, acting as the entry point from Rheinhessen to the Palatinate. Its counterpart at the end of the route, 85 kilometres away, is the Deutsches Weintor ("German Wine Gate") in Schweigen. In the Haus der Deutschen Weinstraße you can find the Brücken-Restaurant/-Café with a large lake terrace and the Leiningerland Tourist Information Office next door.
