Am Platz des heutigen „Johan neshofes" stand einst ein Ein familienhaus mit diesem Na men.

Du rch mehrere Umbauten ent stand dieses stattliche Ge bäude.

Im Rahmen der letzten Groß sanierung in den Jahren 1962 bis 1964 wollte man den ur sprünglichen Hausnahmen auch nach außen sichtbar machen und ließ von Bildhauer Klaus Moroder aus Saalfelden diesen „JOHANNES VON GOTT" schnitzen.

Dieser bekam sodann in einer Nische, auf einem Konglomerat stein ruhend, an der Südseite des Hauses seinen Platz und erfreut damit den Beschauer.

Das Schnitzwerk ist 75 cm groß und von vorzüglicher Qualität.
