St. Georgenberg galt im Mittelalter als eines der bedeutendsten Kloster Tirols. Beginn des 18.Jahrhunderts wurde das Kloster allerdings verlegt. Heute befindet sich hier in den alten Gemäuern nur noch eine Gaststätte, in der man sich mit gutbürgerlicher Küche stärken kann.
