Das Benediktinerstift Marienberg in Burgeis liegt auf 1340 m ü. d. M. und ist damit die höchstgelegene Benediktinerabtei Europas, eine Stiftung der Edlen von Tarasp. Hier leben seit über 900 Jahren Mönche nach den Regeln des Hl. Benedikt. Seit 2007 sind im ehemaligen Wirtschaftstrakt der Klosteranlage Schauräume eingerichtet, in denen Eindrücke über den Alltag im Kloster nach dem Leitsatz "ora et labora" vermittelt werden. Historische Ereignisse werden ebenso aufgezeigt wie die spirituelle Deutung der romanischen Krypta-Fresken mit den einzigartigen Engelsdarstellungen.

Von Mitte März bis Ende Oktober Montag bis Samstag 10.00 - 17.00 Uhr

Vom 27.12. bis 05.01. 10.00 - 17.00 Uhr

Besichtigung der Krypta:

Im Mai Montag bis Samstag Führung um 15.00 Uhr

Von Juni bis Oktober im Rahmen der Vesper (Abendgebet)

Sonntag und kirchliche Feiertage (Ausnahmen: Ostermontag, Pfingstmontag) geschlossen
