Seit über 1000 Jahren pflegt das Kloster Einsiedeln die Gastfreundschaft. Pilger auf dem Jakobsweg, Kulturinteressierte und Reisende machen im bedeutendsten Wallfahrtsort der Schweiz Halt.
Die prächtige Klosterkirche mit der Gnadenkapelle und der Schwarzen Madonna wird Sie in ihren Bann ziehen. Täglich feiern die Mönche um 16.30 Uhr die Vesper und stimmen am Schluss das Salve Regina an, ein mehrstimmiger Choralgesang. Rund 50 Mönche leben heute im Kloster Einsiedeln. Die barocke Anlage in der gegenwärtigen Form wurde ab 1703 nach Plänen von Caspar Moosbrugger gebaut.
Public transport
Die Bahnfahrt Zürich-Einsiedeln (Umsteigen in Wädenswil) dauert rund 50 Min., die Fahrt von Luzern nach Einsiedeln (Umsteigen in Biberbrugg) rund eine Stunde.
Der Bahnhof befindet sich ca. 15 Gehminuten vom Kloster entfernt.
Directions
Einsiedeln ist über die Autobahnen A3 Zürich-Chur und A2 Luzern-Gotthard in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Einsiedeln verfügt weiter über sehr gute Bahnverbindungen.
Parking
Im Umfeld des Klosters befinden sich mehrere öffentliche Parkplätze, dazu auch ein Parkhaus. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind gut ausgeschildert. Auf dem Klosterareal besteht ein allgemeines Fahr- und Parkverbot.
Bei Grossereignissen (Weihnachtsmarkt, grosse Wallfahrtstage) reichen die Parkplatzkapazitäten in Einsiedeln manchmal nicht aus und es kann schwierig sein, einen freien Parkplatz zu finden.
