Das Kloster Inzigkofen wurde erstmals 1356 urkundlich erwähnt und war vom 15. bis zum 19. Jahrhundert der Sitz eines Frauenklosters. Der Fürst von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen übernahm das Kloster im Jahre 1809 und räumte den verbleibenden Nonnen ein Bleiberecht bis zum Tot der letzten Nonne 1856 ein. Danach wurde die Anlage zum Sommersitz der Fürstenfamilie benutzt. Aus dieser Zeit stammt auch der anliegende fürstliche Park.

Seit 1948 bietet die Anlage Räumlichkeiten für die Volkshochschule, Erwachsenenbildung und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in den ehemaligen Zimmern der Nonnen. 

Neben dem fürstlichen Park findet man um das Kloster herum auch einen vielfältigen Kräutergarten und ein Insektenhotel. Im fürstlichen Park findet man Ruhe und Entspannung.
