Seit September 2001 gibt es wieder Benediktiner auf der Reichenau.

Zunächst galt dieser Versuch, benediktinisches Leben auf der Insel wieder entstehen zu lassen, als Projekt für drei Jahre. Durch die positive Resonanz vieler Menschen wurde die Cella St. Benedikt 2004 offiziell als abhängiges Haus der Erzabtei Beuron errichtet.
Zum Stundengebet der Mönche in der Egiono-Kapelle der Kirche St. Peter und Paul in Reichenau-Niederzell sind die Besucher der Insel herzlich willkommen. Infos zu den Zeiten des Chorgebetes finden Sie auf der Homepage der Cella.
