Small Mill

The remains of this former village mill, located in the middle of the village, are still standing, but demolition is threatened by the land acquired by the municipality. In a sales letter of 1627, the von Buseck family, called Münch, is mentioned as the new owner. In 1713 Johann Philipp Lepper is mentioned as the miller of the small mill. As with all mills, which usually include a farm, the owners change frequently. In 1790 the Kleinmühle comes into the possession of the Dort family, who lived there until it was sold. In earlier years the mill ran day and night. Later, the last miller Ernst Dort suffered from the fact that the mill operation was no longer a source of livelihood. In 1980 the grist milling was stopped. With the death of the last miller, the business was deregistered in 1987.
