In the southern part of the Alten-Buseck district one finds the Mittelsmühle in the area of the Wieseck. It got its name from its location between the Troher Mill in the west and the nearby Großmühle in the east.
According to an inscription above the entrance door to the mill building, the still existing building of the Mittelsmühle was built in 1791 as a half-timbered house and, with 80 acres of land and a considerable fortune, was formerly one of the most richly endowed mills in the Buseck valley. The mill operation, however, is to be regarded as considerably older. An outbuilding to the right of the dwelling house with a massive substructure bears the date 1826 in a lintel stone.
Both buildings are now used as dwellings. The middle mill and the outbuilding are also listed buildings.
