In the village of Kleinkarlbach, 6 former mills are still preserved. Mainly as residential houses: Walkmühle, Wiesenmühle, Bann- und Backmühle, Strohmühle, Schleifmühle and Langmühle (Mühle Eisenbeiss).
The mill village of Kleinkarlbach had six water engines, all fed by the Eckbach. They had various uses, ranging from grain mills to grinding, oil, fulling mills, and hemp processing. The mills belonged to many secular and ecclesiastical lords.
