Am Fuß der Burg Düben im ehemaligen Wallgraben leigt die Bergschiffmühle. Seit dem 17. Jahrhundert betrieben, durch Brände und Hochwasser oft beschädigt und immer wieder repariert und erneuert, war sie die letzte Schiffmühle Deutschlands. Bis 1956 klapperte die Mühle auf der rauschenden Mulde, bevor sie in den 60er Jahren in den Burggarten umgesetzt wurde. Seit dem 10. Deutschen Mühlentag am 9. Juni 2003 ist sie nach ihrer Rekonstruktion im Originalzustand von 1905 zu sehen.

Opening times

Die Bergschiffmühle ist von April bis Oktober jeden 1. Sonnabend im Monat von 14:00 bis 17:00 Uhr sowie am Deutschen Mühlentag (Pfingstmontag) von 10:00 bis 18:00 Uhr geöffnet.
