Auf dem höchsten Punkt des Bergs (820 m) befindet sich ein 23 Meter hoher Aussichtsturm des Schwäbischen Albvereins. Der Turm wurde als Ehrenmal für die im Ersten Weltkrieg gefallenen Mitglieder des Schwäbischen Albvereins errichtet.

Der Turm wurde als Ehrenmal für die im Ersten Weltkrieg gefallenen Mitglieder des Schwäbischen Albvereins errichtet. Ein Gedenkstein am Fuße des Turmes ruft zusätzlich zur Erinnerung und Besinnung. Vom Turm aus überblickt man nach Osten und Nordosten hin das Ermstal sowie die Gebiete der Mittleren Kuppenalb und des Albvorlandes. Im Norden und Westen sind der Schurwald, der Schönbuch und die Landschaft um Tübingen zu sehen. An Tagen mit sehr guter Aussicht reicht der Blick im Süden bis zu den Alpen. Neben dem Turm wurde eine Feuerstelle eingerichtet mit Sitzgelegenheiten.

Wanderungen zum und vom Turm:

Vom Bahnhof Neuhausen auf dem SAV-Weg mit blauem Dreieck, vorbei am Linsenbühl zum Grünen Fels und mit roter Raute zum Turm, 6 km

Vom Bahnhof Wasserfall auf dem SAV-Weg mit blauem Dreieck über die Gütersteiner Wasserfälle bis zum Fohlenhof, dann auf dem Schwäbischen-Alb-Nordrand-Weg (= Hauptwanderweg 1 = HW 1 mit Zeichen rotes Dreieck, dessen Spitze immer in Wegrichtung Tuttlingen zeigt) zum Turm, 5 km

Vom Bahnhof Wasserfall auf etwas weiterem Weg zunächst zum Uracher Wasserfall (Weg mit blauem Dreieck), von der Hochwiese über dem Uracher Wasserfall dann durch die Hölle (mit roter Gabel) zum Sattel vor dem Runden Berg und hinab zu den Gütersteiner Wasserfällen, 6,5 km – oder noch etwas weiter und mit mehr Auf und Ab: Von der Hochwiese auf dem HW 1 hinauf zur Felsgruppe der Rutschenfelsen mit ungewöhnlich schöner Aussicht ins Brühltal, zur Festungsruine Hohenurach und hinüber zum Hohenneuffen, nach den Rutschenfelsen auf einem unbezeichneten, jedoch breiten Forstweg (siehe TK) hinab zum Forststräßchen zu den Gütersteiner Wasserfällen – und dann wieder weiter über den Fohlenhof, 7,5 km; diese Variante führt zu den schönsten Punkten im Bereich um den Uracher Wasserfall.

Vom Bahnhof Reutlingen durch die Reutlinger Altstadt (der SAV-Weg mit blauem Dreieck verläuft am Rand der Altstadt, an der Stelle der früheren Stadtmauer) und dann hinauf zur Ruine der ehemaligen starken Reichsburg auf der Achalm. Abstieg nach Eningen und mit dem gleichen Zeichen wieder hinauf zur Aussichtskanzel über dem Geißberg. Oben auf der Höhe sind wir dann schon auf den weiten Flächen der Eninger Weide, die immer wieder von einzeln stehenden alten Hutebäumen bereichert wird. Bei genauer Beobachtung der Karte ist der Weg zum Turm nicht zu verfehlen, 13 km

Die nächste Bushaltestelle ist beim Gestütshof St. Johann, von dort auf dem HW 1 nach 1,5 km zum Turm.
