The word "triften" explaines the old work of transporting wood by boat on rivers. The Trift facilities can be seen while walking the signposted Trift path.
You can reach the drift facilities from the parking lot "Am Zwiesel im Wellbachtal" via the marked drift path. After about 2 kilometers, you will find various information boards about the timber drifting on the streams in past days.
