The city of Schwechat, where the "Schwechat lager" was invented and where Mozart was once a guest, today presents itself as a city of diversity.
Schwechat is a city full of quality of life. On the one hand, Schwechat is a central business location, with Vienna International Airport, the OMV refinery and many other successful companies. On the other hand, the city offers its citizens extensive green spaces and leisure facilities for recreation in addition to the jobs that arise from industry. Schwechat also attracts culture enthusiasts with the Nestroy Plays, which are held every summer in the courtyard of Schloss Hof Rothmühle, and the Theater Forum Schwechat, as well as sports enthusiasts with its numerous sporting events.
